Recently, the first set of sodium-ion battery alcohol-hydrogen electric systems supplied by Namei Technology to Zhejiang Leapmotor New Energy Commercial Vehicle Group Co., Ltd. has successfully completed the winter standard test at the alpine test base in Heihe City, Heilongjiang Province. All performance indicators have outperformed the industry average, which fully verifies the reliable operation capability of the company's sodium-ion batteries in low-temperature environments and lays a solid foundation for the commercial application of the products in alpine regions.

This system is equipped with SR60145 sodium-ion cylindrical cells, boasting a maximum instantaneous discharge current of 600A and a fast charging current of 130A for the system. The cabinet features a high-strength steel design with IP67 protection rating. Meanwhile, the matched BMS integrates multiple functions including real-time monitoring of cell voltage and temperature data, charge-discharge control and management, system fault diagnosis, insulation alarm, operating data logging, and software update and upgrade. It conducts real-time monitoring of the battery system status, optimizes energy distribution, and improves energy utilization efficiency.
This winter standard test strictly complied with the relevant standards for the low-temperature performance testing of new energy batteries, simulating alpine operating conditions at -20℃, and conducting a full-dimensional inspection of the core indicators of sodium-ion batteries such as low-temperature charge-discharge efficiency, cycle stability, capacity retention rate, and safety protection performance. The test results showed that the capacity retention rate of the company's sodium-ion batteries in low-temperature environments exceeded 90%. Compared with traditional lithium-ion batteries, they delivered more outstanding performance in low-temperature conditions, with no performance degradation or potential safety hazards after cyclic charging and discharging. All test data outperformed the industry average standards, demonstrating the excellent low-temperature adaptability and environmental tolerance of sodium-ion batteries.
The successful completion of this winter standard test marks another important achievement of Namei Technology in the R&D of sodium-ion battery performance. It not only demonstrates the company's strong capabilities in technological R&D and product innovation, but also fills the gap in the performance verification of the company's sodium-ion batteries for applications in alpine regions. Going forward, Namei Technology will continue to deepen scenario-based technological R&D for low-temperature conditions, accelerate the commercialization of sodium-ion battery products in energy storage power stations, passenger car power systems, special power supplies and other fields, and provide more cost-effective and adaptable sodium-ion battery solutions for the all-round development of the new energy industry.
