Historic breakthrough! China's first "sodium-ion power system for electric forklifts" has been shipped and delivered to overseas customers

On August 29, the sodium-ion power system for electric forklifts independently developed by Nami New Energy Technology (Luoyang) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Nami Technology") was officially shipped and delivered to a large state-owned enterprise in St. Petersburg, Russia. This is the first time that Nami Technology has exported the "sodium-ion power system for electric forklifts" to Russia, marking a new breakthrough for the enterprise in multiple aspects such as technical strength, brand influence, and overseas trade, and is an important milestone in the development process of the enterprise.

The sodium-ion power system for electric forklifts delivered this time is equipped with SP71173 sodium-ion prismatic cells. The system has a rated voltage of 48V, a rated capacity of 840Ah, a total energy of 40.32kWh, and a cycle life of ≥5000 times. In response to the perennial severe cold climate in Russia, the sodium-ion battery can maintain over 90% of its capacity in a low-temperature environment of -40℃, which can effectively solve the problem of insufficient power for forklift operations in Russia.In addition, the system cabinet is made of thick plates through welding, with an IP65 protection rating. The loaded BMS management system features protection functions against overvoltage, undervoltage, high temperature, low temperature, overcurrent, short circuit, etc. The SOC status can be checked through the power display instrument, which enables real-time monitoring of the battery system's usage, optimizes energy distribution, and improves energy utilization efficiency.For the Russian market, sodium-ion battery products with high cost performance are more attractive. In scenarios such as logistics parks, airports, and ports, forklifts are used to load, unload, transport, and stack goods. Traditional fuel-powered forklifts have major disadvantages, mainly reflected in environmental pollution, high operating costs, and complex maintenance. In contrast, electric forklifts, with their advantages of no exhaust emissions, low electricity costs, simple maintenance, and flexible operation, just make up for the shortcomings of traditional fuel-powered forklifts.
